Moth
Cross Plains, Dane County, Wisconsin, USA
June 25, 2021
Suggested ID as Crambus agitatellus on iNaturalist by Hugh McGuinness. His comment made on iNat -- "Fascinating individual that I wish I had the specimen for. It fits best with agitatellus but is hyper-porphyrinism-like (too much rust coloration). This individual is missing some of the marks of agitatellus, but that is the species this most resembles. The genitalia would be distinctive."
