Oxycopis thoracica (Fabricius 1801)
ID backed by Matthew L. Gimmel of Louisiana State Arthropod Museum: "I like O. thoracica for this one. It's certainly a distinctive species abundantly represented in our collection"

Moved from False Blister Beetles.
