Landed on Solidago gigantea inflorescence.

Elevation ca 4000 feet. Disturbed riparian corridor on stream restoration site within a patchwork of native and non-native grassland.

Keyed to species in Masonick & Weirauch, 2020. Important characters included FW membrane with parallel rather than anastomosed veins; scutellum with a cross-shaped, granulated ridge; lateral notch of the pronotum medium; pronotum granulated but without protuberances with setae; connexiva of abdominal segments 4 and 5 straight, rather than 4 concave and 5 convex; distribution east of Rocky Mountains; and abdominal connexiva 2-4 with posterior lateral corners toothlike, the anterior corners generally with a dark marking; and pronotum often with light marks at the anterior angle and lateral notch, rather than uniformly brown or black.
