Pseudachorutes complexus
turns out the best match. Especially given the broad mucro and short dens (ratio dens/mucro = 1.5).

Are you confident enough...
...for me to make a new species page?

If you are not confident enough
just leave it under Pseudachorutes.

I don't know enough...
...to have any degree of confidence. That's why I'm asking you. :)

Well
I'm confident enough to include it in collembola.org ;-)

I am thrilled
to have gotten a species identification on this bug. Thank you, Frans! For future reference can you point me to a key for this family or genus? I can’t access Massoud; 1967 and can’t find a copy of Christiansen/Bellinger; 1980 to buy. Thanks again for taking the time to figure this out!

For Collembola keys
check out www.collembola.org : Keys
;-)

Feel free to use
any and all photos I may post here! I would be thrilled to contribute to your fantastic website!

Thx
for your generous offer.

Thanks, Frans
I looked at them but for this genus the only one deals with Ukrainian species. I guess I’ll just keep posting here and bugging you😀

Good enough for me
:)

Pseudachorutinae
Probably Pseudachorutes sp.
Notice pointed mouthcone and absent anal spines, which exclude Hypogastrura.

Thank you Frans!
So much to learn!
