Comanche National Grasslands, near Withers Canyon, Otero County, Colorado, USA
November 19, 2021
Size: small...thumbnail size?
We saw this small insect land on a piece of sandstone amongst some hoodos. Lens was at 250 mm, and the image is significantly enlarged. I could not even tell details through the lens. Temperature was about 60 degrees, little wind, sunny. 3:30 p.m. MST. In searching through Bugguide, I found an entry from Boulder County, CO, in 2013, that looks like this one, so that is how I labelled it.

Moved tentatively
Moved from ID Request.

Looks right, but expert confirmation would be appreciated.

Image cropped for placement.
