Toxomerus marginatus - female

Toxomerus marginatus - Female
Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA
November 12, 2021
Nov. 8, 2021: sweeping in weedy, overgrown lot; placed net contents in baggie.
Nov. 11, 2021: Diptera larva found in baggie. Placed in vial with Balclutha (leafhopper) nymphs and couple of crumpled squares with 2-3 drops of water. The larva did seem to feed on the nymphs.
Nov. 12, 2021, night: still a larva
Nov. 13, 2021, morning: o/b, puparium
Nov. 18, 2021: adult visible inside puparium
Nov. 19, 2021, morning: adult emerged

Ventral photo taken through plastic petri dish.

I'm wondering if the dark mass inside the adult's abdomen (visible in the last image) is normal. Also, although they aren't really visible in the photo, there were also three small round dark spots inside the abdomen, near the tip, visible from below. There were also slow, internal waves of contraction moving toward the apex. Again, not sure if this is normal. The fly escaped soon after the last photo.

I think the white fibers on the larva and puparium are from the toilet paper and not part of the organism.
