Spider PREY: challenge to Bugguide!

Spider PREY: challenge to Bugguide!
Ithaca, Tompkins County, New York, USA
September 3, 2021
Size: ~8mm?
The spider in this photo was already identified as Pisaurina by several Bugguide regulars (thank you!)(and confirmed by a friend who has studied same). I know this is asking a lot, but I would love an ID for its prey. Black and white wings(?) can be seen extending out on either side of the spider, and possibly there is a brownish part of the body (head?) to be seen anteriorly. The same friend mentioned above suggested a Signal Fly as a possibility. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I know this is asking a lot but one can hope! Thanks again...

Moved from ID Request. Agree, probably Tephritidae.

Tephritidae?
Wing patterning looks closer to some sort of tephritid, possibly Rhagoletis or Urophora.

Spider PREY: challenge to Bugguide
after comparing species-specific wing markings to the photo in detail, I am pretty sure it is Rhagoletis completa (Walnut Husk Fly)... and this area is replete with walnut trees. Thank you for rising to this challenge! :)
