Wax scales, Ceroplastes sp. - Ceroplastes - Female
Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, Key Biscayne, Miami-Dade County, Florida, USA
November 11, 2021
Several of these large coccids were found on the stem of a sapling tree, surrounded by nymphs (the small yellow disks on the tree's bark) and being tended to by minuscule yellow ants (which I didn't notice until looking at the photos afterwards.

I sadly have no idea what the host plant was, but it was a sapling growing beneath a much larger tree of the same species.
