I found this one in the same place as one I found 3 years ago, in a damp section of the main trail going through the Oxbow NWR.

This is the first Limnichid identified to species. I'll have to find some different ones for you next year.

Limnichites punctatus
A quick rainy day project. All of your photos are of this species - the pubescence just varies in distinctness a bit.

Limnichites
I think this is probably Limnichites. The eyes are definitely visible from above. In Eulimnichus, they are not visible from above (per key in American Beetles). Don could probably verify if you gave him the specimen.
