Collembola

Collembola
100 Acre Wood, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
November 29, 2021
Found in a clay pot dug into the garden for the purpose of overwintering insects in vials and jars. When I saw it I thought it looked different, turns out it was because the scales were missing. I assume it cannot be identified without scales but I hadn't realized the color beneath the scales could be orange.

Also in the pot (which was covered) were 8 Phyllocnistis moths and 1 spider.

Moved

Tomocerinae
The intrinsic body colour of Tomocerinae may vary between dirty white, yellow, orange to brownish.

Thank you.
