Hymenaphorura cocklei in Oregon Cascades? - Hymenaphorura cocklei

Hymenaphorura cocklei in Oregon Cascades? - Hymenaphorura cocklei
near Westfir, on Alpine Trail, Lane County, Oregon County, Oregon, USA
December 5, 2021
Size: 2.5mm?
There had been some recent snowmelt in this area. Another post on this site led me to this species, but I'm not sure of it's range or how common it would have been to find here. We saw millions of them all over the forest litter layer of a mature 2nd growth forest on our hike. Elevation ~4000ft.
