Found on blackberry leaves. No behaviors observed.

Looks like Cryptocephalus gib
Looks like Cryptocephalus gibbicollis gibbicollis or C. venustus venustus but the couplet in the key to the genus requires knowing whether the prosternum has a stout spine or V-shaped lobe or nothing at all. Any shots of the underside? Both species occur in your area.

Sorry Mr. Watts. School started and I was so busy that my bug interests went by the wayside. I don't have any pics of this beetle's underside. I didn't realize that it would be important to identifying: I'm a novice. Thanks for teaching me something new.

Looks to be something in the genus
