Looks like Cryptocephalus gib
Looks like Cryptocephalus gibbicollis gibbicollis or C. venustus venustus but the couplet in the key to the genus requires knowing whether the prosternum has a stout spine or V-shaped lobe or nothing at all. Any shots of the underside? Both species occur in your area.

No other photos
Sorry Mr. Watts. School started and I was so busy that my bug interests went by the wayside. I don't have any pics of this beetle's underside. I didn't realize that it would be important to identifying: I'm a novice. Thanks for teaching me something new.

Looks to be something in the genus
Cryptocephalus. We'll move it to the Chrysomelidae where John Watts may give you an ID

Thanks!
I appreciate it.
