Hecalus or Neohecalus lineatus - Neohecalus lineatus - male

Hecalus or Neohecalus lineatus - Neohecalus lineatus - Male
Iles-de-Boucherville County, Quebec, Canada
July 28, 2008
Size: 7 mm approx.
It kept the last segments of its abdomen raised up, like Orientus ishidae nymphs do!

On the same site where I found a female yesterday (on the shore of Saint Lawrence River, south of Montréal, on tall grasses). The grasses looks like Spartina pectinata, one of the known hosts of this species.
