Thanks so much for the ID help regarding this spider being Six-spotted Orbweaver (Araniella displicata). I assume that this is the same spider illustrated at the top of p.59 of the Golden "Spiders, and their Kin" guide, and labeled as A. displicata (I assumed, wrongly, that the A = Araneus genus).
