Dicaelus politus - Male
Green Ridge State Forest, Allegany County, Maryland, USA
June 22, 1985
Size: 13 mm
Seen running on trail (old Maryland Entomological Society field trip - I think I was in the 11th grade at the time). Keyed out using George Ball's A Taxonomic Study Of The North American Licinini Ball (1959) . The key is on page 104. Also note the faint reddish color at the basal pronotal margins.
