Niesthrea louisianica Sailer - Niesthrea louisianica

Niesthrea louisianica Sailer - Niesthrea louisianica
Village of San Leanna (south Austin), Travis County, Texas, USA

at UV lights in a small mesic area under a oak-willow canopy...

Moved from Niesthrea.

=] Great for it to get an ID,
but you don't have to give me credit... I was just guessing as usual.

Hi Mike
it reminds me a lot of one I found in MT see Aryhssus. Of course the coloring is way off, so I'll keep looking.

How about Niesthrea louisianica? It is still a little different, maybe it's the one we don't have images of yet, Niesthrea ventralis?

Three Niesthrea spp in Texas...
There are apparently 3 spp of Niesthrea in Texas (1). Am moving to genus...

Actually keys to Aryssus sp., at least in Florida...
Hind tibia often speckled or spotted with black or fuscous, but lacking a series of black rings; scutellum not reaching clavus…………………………Aryssus sp. key
