Metaphycus

Metaphycus
Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA
December 30, 2021
Dec. 30, 2021: Swept from a weedy, grassy lot near my apartment. Photographed and placed in alcohol. Emailed photos to Dr. Noyes, who responded, "Your insect is a species of Metaphycus. Judging by the infuscate wings it may be a new species. I think there are about 50 species known for North America but it is likely there are well over 200 species - it is the largest known genus of Encyrtidae."
