Several beat-up adults still hopping around in post oak savannah on a sunny day with temps in the 80s (F). One of several egg-overwintering orthopteran species whose adults just barely made it into the New Year. Alas, the very next day brought a major freeze with temps in the 20s (F) and hard frost, likely killing off these geriatric insects.
