Do you have any tips for distinguishing Cameraria species on Ostrya and Carpinus (C. lentella, C. ostryarella, and C. corylisella), especially by the mines/larvae?

Not really...
I identified this one as well as a few other C. ostryarella that I reared based on the adults, not the larvae. I've also not yet encountered C. lentella at all and I've only found what I think are C. corylisella on Corylus, not yet any on Ostrya or Carpinus.

I would love to examine...
any Cameraria adults you guys can rear from Carpinus, Corylus, and Ostrya. The records of C. corylisella from Carpinus and Ostrya are very old and not repeated in later literature; it may be that that species really only feeds on Corylus and cannot be reliably distinguished from C. ostryarella by wing pattern. I have Don Davis' illustrations of the male genitalia of these two species, and distinguishing them that way looks straightforward. The descriptions of larvae in my book should be considered a work in progress; it's possible that the color changes in different instars, so the more photos that can be taken of them throughout their development, the better.
