July 7, 2021: sawfly larvae collected on Willow, Salix sp., and adjacent Cottonwood, Populus deltoides, by M. Leoschke.


As often happens when Mark collects insect larvae on native plants (and extra host plants), there is more in the collection that originally thought.

July 13, 2021: found the Viceroy larva in with the plants
and Gray Furcula larva

July 17, 2021: spent Willow leaf mine, Stigmella fuscotibiella

July 22, 2021: an adult moth, Caloptilia stigmatella
