I've been finding a few of these lately, and they resemble Calligrapha, yet it still looks different from the images in the guide. Any help?

this is a "Colorado Potato Beetle".
these fingernail size beetles lay clusters of orange eggs on the underside of leaves.They eat a wide variety of plant including : eggplant, pepper, tomato and potato.

Sunflower Beetle - Zygogramma Exclamationis
Actually, I found out that this is a sunflower beetle. I found some images on the net, and there is an exact picture of one in Simon & Schuster's Guide to Insects on page 181. Thanks for your help.
