Moved from ID Request. I could not determine if these matched up with any of the three species showing on BugGuide. They all look very similar and could be in the area you are finding these. Anyway, under Pseudopostega quadristrigella we have a link to the 2007 revision of the family Opostegidae which includes Pseudopostega. I thought maybe there might be some hints in there on how to separate these out to species based upon appearance. When I opened this document and saw there were 84 species of Pseudopostega listed I did not go any further. If you are inclined to try to identify these, then that is where to start. I suspect that they cannot be identified by appearance and would need to be dissected to get an ID.

...I totally missed your comment above. I appreciate the info, wow! 84 species, crazy. I think they are just lovely and fascinating. Is the paper you refer to available free anywhere? Thanks
