Small Weevil with four black spots on abdomen -
Megacerus discoidus
Saint Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota, USA
August 3, 2018
Size: 4.5mm
Very deep bodied. Two of four posterior black spots shown. Found on swamp milkweed (Asclepias incarnata).

although it looks like a weevil
it's actually a chrysomelid. the common name for the subfamily is "pea weevils"
yours is a female
the males have very distinctive antennae
