The assassin bugs lay reasonably
similar eggs - see Zelus for example, but we don't know which genus this would be.

 
Depending on the size
here is another possibility . Don't know how that was attached to the leaf. Our experience with lady beetles, however, is that the rounded side is up.

 
That egg
is much too big to belong to the lady beetle, don't you think? Seems like it might be an assassin bug egg too.
