Exema poss. neglecta? - Exema canadensis

Exema poss. neglecta? - Exema canadensis
Homer Lake FP, Champaign County, Illinois, USA
July 5, 2021
Size: 2.7mm
Keyed out using Karren 1966, but this would be a sizable range extension if that's the case. Not a lot of yellow on the front of the pronotum, but it seems faded (maybe from alcohol?). Confirmation/correction greatly appreciated!

Exema canadensis
Moved from ID Request. The emargination of the eye looks all black to me. Tarsal claws should be simple (not toothed). I've not noticed these fade in alcohol; the discoloration on the pronotum looks like some kind of attached debris/gunk.

Thank you!
Going back to the key, I see where I went wrong. It was pretty dirty when I pulled it out of the vial, though it doesn't seem like I cleaned it up well enough. Might dilute some glue and see if that helps.
