Barklouse nymph (near egg cluster) - Teliapsocus conterminus

Barklouse nymph (near egg cluster) - Teliapsocus conterminus
Buncombe County, North Carolina, USA
February 11, 2022
Size: about 2 mm
Barklouse nymph near egg cluster. (The Barklouse walked around the entire leaf after I disturbed him/her with my flash, but always returned to the underside near the eggs.) Could the eggs be Barklice eggs of the same species? Considering how large this nymph is compared to the eggs (which appear intact/unhatched under silk), I assume he/she hatched from a different cluster elsewhere (and if so, it's curious that the nymph is visiting this cluster/leaf).

THat is interesting ...
T conterminus does lay eggs in cutches and cover them lightly with silk. One can only guess why a nymph would be attracted to the eggs.
