Hexagenia
Hi John-

I believe this male imago to be either Hexagenia limbata or Hexagenia rigida, both of which are known to reside in Tennessee, but require microscopic examination of the male imago genitalia in order to differentiate from one another.

Actually, I did identify this
Actually, I did identify this with aid of microscope after I collected it. Unfortunately, I did not take any photos of the genitalia, so I do not have any other material to verify identification. I have since retired, so I am not sure what the status of this specimen is; there were no invertebrate specialist left when I retired, and none have been hired. I understand it's best not to put a species name on a photo if key characters are not visible, so leaving it at Hexagenia is fine with me.

Thanks
Your understanding is sincerely appreciated.
