Alypiodes geronimo (forester moth) - Alypiodes geronimo - male

Alypiodes geronimo (forester moth) - Alypiodes geronimo - Male
Montosa Canyon, Santa Cruz County, Arizona, USA
July 31, 2008
In mixed mesquite/oak/ocotillo habitat.

This is a male if you want to
This is a male if you want to update the sex field. This species is sexually dimorphic. Males have 3 white spots on each forewing, females only have 2. It's a nice moth that you don't see very often.

Thanks
I'll keep an eye out for the females this year.
