Grasshopper nymph - Heliastus benjamini - female

Grasshopper nymph - Heliastus benjamini - Female
Montosa Canyon, Santa Cruz County, Arizona, USA
July 31, 2008
This attractive, if lumpy, nymph was in a small rocky canyon by a flowing creek at about 5000'.

Heliastus benjamini
Looks right to me too. Looks like a last (probably 5th) instar female.

Arroyo grasshopper?
I wonder if this is the nymph of one of those?

You could be right
The coloration and general structure seem pretty consistent.
