Eristalis sp. - Eristalis arbustorum - Evansburg State Park, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, USA June 17, 2005 Size: 7-9 mm.
I have tried to ID this Eristalis and I give up. It could be dimidiata, or stipator or hirta. I don't know.
It is considerably smaller than tenax or transversa. There were several of those around at the time.
