Size

About 8.1 mm to 9.6 mm (1)

Identification

Presence of lamellate setae along the prosternal channel seems to be the best character to separate from T. pictipes. [Dan Swanson, pers. comm.]

Range

se US (TX-FL, SC, AR) / Mex. - Map (1)(2)(3)(4)(5)(6), previously thought to be a coastal species (3)(4), recent records indicate it is not restricted to coastal areas (5).
