Yep
Male Eristalis arbustorum, they have a typical black spot on the second (visible as first) abdominal segment, the so called 'hour-glass'!

Do you have a photo of its face?
Eristalis is often hard to get to species. If memory serves, you'll need a frontal photo for ID to E. arbustorum.

maybe Eristalis tenax.
