#209958 Identification – Sympherobius umbratus
Identification (corrected; not Sisyra). Hi Mike: This is the hemerobiid Sympherobius umbratus, a rather uncommonly seen species of Sympherobius (send me some if you see more...). This species, and Sympherobius occidentalis, have dark forewings and look superficially very much like sisyrids of the genus Sisyra. But, note the two apparent "Rs" veins in the forewing (you can just barely make them out in this image). This will easily distinguish this hemerobiid from Sisyra, which has on a single Rs.
