Brachypterous chalcidoid (?) with thick antennae - Mira mucora Bette Davis Picnic Area, Los Angeles County, California, USA February 13, 2012 Size: 2.0 mm
Swept from grasses - collected two of these cool little wasps. Tentatively assuming these are chalcidoids based on metallic coloration and reduced wing venation? I had a hard time getting a good image of the wing veins - there seems to be a marginal vein, but perhaps not a stigmal vein?
