Explanation of Names
Dasylophia saturata Barnes, 1901, rev. stat. in Miller et al. (2021) (1), was previously treated as a subspecies of Dasylophia anguina (Smith, 1797) in the 1983 Hodges Checklist.
Size
male FW between 17.5 to 20 mm
Range
eastern slopes of Rocky Mountains, from Alberta south along front range of Colorado to southwestern New Mexico
Habitat
Canada: AB; USA: MT south to southwestern NM. Grasslands, prairies, steppes and various open foothill and mid elevation communities from 3,800 to 5,000 feet. (1)
Type locality: Denver, CO.
