Milkweed visitor

You can tell that it has been visiting milkweed flowers because it has three sets of pollinia hanging from its toes (the orange things).

Thanks so much for the additional information. I have a lot to learn about bugs. Never paid much attention to them until I got into the world of macro photography. Now I look everywhere for an interesting looking bug that doesn't scare me so much that I don't want to get near it. :)
