Along the dirt trail, this medium sized fly was landing on brush and stems. Very dark brown and black thorax and abdomen, covered with bristly black hairs. Copper-colored eyes in a face containing some white. White areas on upper thorax and several large white spots on lateral abdomen containing dark speckles or hairs.
