Callobius sp. help identify - Callobius - Male
Greenbank, Island County, Washington, USA
April 22, 2022
Size: 12 mm
I have been collecting what I think are Callobius species for several months. I currently am keeping four, gathered last fall. This is actually a male. He only had one pedipalp when I first found him, then recently lost his second. I have several questions about this and similar looking spiders in my collection (from Whidbey Island). There is precious little detail about these spiders and I am realizing how little I know. A more experienced I.D. would be appreciated.

It might be worthwhile to contact Rod Crawford about this. He's up in Washington and knows the local spider fauna very well.
