Size: ~5-6mm
Looks like a Broad Nosed Weevil (Subfamily Entiminae). That's about the best I can do for now.

Looks like Pandeleteius
P. hilaris seems to be the only species in the Northeast.

I agree
Pandeletius
is represented in the East by two species, one of which occurs only in southern Florida. So any
Pandeletius
from east of the Mississippi and north of South Florida will be
P. hilaris
.
