Green Horsefly - Chlortabanus crepuscularis - Chlorotabanus crepuscularis - Male
Lakeland, Polk County, Florida, USA
May 10, 2005
Size: 14 mm
These flies came to black lights for about a month yet I never saw them during the day. I have seen them both in Polk Co., and in Ocala National Forest.

Nice photo
These guys, and the females, are crepuscular and are therefor not active during daylight hours.
