Unknown Bug in water - Baetisca

Unknown Bug in water - Baetisca
Iowa, USA
April 5, 2022
Size: ~1in
I assume immature something, but not even sure where to start figuring out what it is. Hard shell that covers half of body top, two spines on either side, 6 legs on front half, long tail, looks like it splits but unsure. Was preserved in Ethanol so might have lost color

Hi CamWitt-
