Still in Dasypogoninae, at ITIS, Dioctriinae in Geller-Grimm & Artigas?
I just notice that Dioctriini spp. Dicolonus, Dioctria, Eudioctria, are in Stenopogoninae at bugguide, also on Herschel's site based on Fisher & Wilcox. That seems to clear it up - correct me if I'm wrong).
Would you mind taking a look at this one, Leptogaster I think? Found it in the same area.

Hartmut,

classification of Asilidae to subfamilies is problematic and has changed often. In fact, there is a new classification due to be published soon: by Torsten Dikow, (Bull. Amer. Mus. Nat. Hist., in press). His PhD phylogenetic studies show 14 subfamilies; the BugGuide Dioctriini (Dicolonus, Dioctria, Eudioctria, Myelaphus and Metadioctria) are in subfamily Dioctriinae. There will be many changes, however, in the relationships among other subfamilies.
