My friend wouldn't go beyond "assassin bug", but I'm wondering if it's possible to put a species to this guy? Wheel Bug nymph? I couldn't find a match in the photo archives; thanks!

Not an assassin bug
but the nymph of a Coreid in the genus Acanthocephala. Someone should be able to tell you which one
