Prob in the 3-4" range, slender, bronze w/ black stripes. Found in Conifer Forests in Fremont Nat. Forest, often under decaying logs or boards.

Klamath Cr. OR, millipedes
They aren't Orthoporus ornatus (order Spirostreptida: family Spirostreptidae) but instead Californiulus yosemitensis (Chamberlin) (order Julida: family Paeromopodidae). This is the family that contains the longest millipede known from North America, a 6 1/2 in. paeromopodid from Yosemite Nat. Pk., California. Rowland Shelley

There was also an extremely long & slender black millipede that I found in Mary's Peak, Benton Co, OR. Though they probably aren't related it was the second longest millipede I have found in the wild (these were probably the first). Thanks
