On the outside wall of the nature center. Roughly same size as Long-bodied cellar spiders. Shook web violently when I first tried to take its picture.

The pattern and shape of this
The pattern and shape of this spider's abdomen are very distinctive. It's a Marbled Cellar Spider, Holocnemus pluchei. This species is introduced and has spread rapidly throughout California and across the southwestern United States.
