Ragonotia dotalis? - Ragonotia dotalis

Ragonotia dotalis? - Ragonotia dotalis
Roper Lake State Park, Graham County, Arizona, USA
April 15, 2022
Size: ~15 mm TL
Measurement did not include palps. With the circular discal spot, I thought at first this was Olybria aliculella which I had found in New Mexico in September of 2021. However, the ochreous shades of this moth did not match that species, nor did the diffuse shading of the AM/PM lines and outline of the circular discal spot. Also, the somewhat jaggedly toothed AM line did not match up. The April date is also a bit early for O. aliculella. So, I went looking and found Ragonotia dotalis at MPG that matches up much better with this moth. I have gone ahead and created a genus and species page for Ragonotia dotalis and will place these there if there is agreement on this ID.
