Archirhoe indefinata? - Archirhoe indefinata

Archirhoe indefinata? - Archirhoe indefinata
Coronado National Forest, Cochise County, Arizona, USA
April 17, 2022
Size: ~20 mm FW
Found at Herb Martyr Campground. At first I could see little to differentiate Archirhoe indefinata from Monostoecha semipectinata. After going back and forth between them for a while I noticed the PM line of A. indefinata has two well-defined large lobes from the costa inwards, whereas this same section of the PM line is more of a gentle curve for M. semipectinata with a slight bulge about midway. The other thing I noticed is that the underwing of A. indefinata is a fairly uniform gray, whereas the underwing of M. semipectinata appears to have darker shading thru the PM and ST areas.
