Digrammia cinereola septemberata - Digrammia cinereola

Digrammia cinereola septemberata - Digrammia cinereola

Coronado National Forest, Cochise County, Arizona, USA
April 18, 2022
Size: ~13.5 mm FW
Found at Herb Martyr Campground. According to Ferguson in MONA Fascicle 17.2, this would be Digrammia cinereola septemberata at this location and should not be confused with any other species within its range. At this location, the lines would be expected to be thinner or somewhat absent, but considering Fergusen's pointer above that there should be no other species in this area that look similar, this one must just be well-marked. If I had any that were less boldly marked show up that evening I probably would have dismissed them as being worn. I do not often attempt Digrammia, but might start doing so more often as I get more familiar with the fascicle.
