A beekeeper came to extract a wild colony of honeybees from under the floor of my mother's neighbor's shed. The bees got a safe home in the country, the beekeeper got a bunch of honey and a hive full of bees, my mother got a safe backyard, and I got some great shots of the whole process. The beekeeper said these can be a significant pest, but this strong, healthy colony turned up only a single individual. Adds NJ for this species.
