Horned caterpillar
Santa Fe, Santa Fe County, New Mexico, USA
May 22, 2022
Size: 30mm
Black & white horned caterpillar with yellow bumps on "shoulders".

Limenitis sp.
One of the Limenitis sp. I think you have 3 in New Mexico. Either L. archippus (Viceroy butterfly), L. arthemis (Red-Spotted Admiral butterfly), or L. weidemeyerii (Weidemeyer’s Admiral butterfly). Subject to expert confirmation.
